Russian eyelash extensions offer you a full, better-than-falsies look that gives you some serious glamour and drama. Russian lashes (also known as volume lash extensions) were invented by Russian technicians only recently. And involve applying a “fan” of lash extensions to one lash. So, instead of the 1:1 ratio of classic lashes, you may have a 1:3 or 1:5. This is how the luxurious volume is achieved.
2D, 3D, 5D define the number of lashes in each fan. So, if a lash look you like is “3D” it has a 1:3 ratio. 2D and 3D lashes give a natural, voluminous look, while higher volumes give a dramatic look. The highest volume you are likely to find is 10D – though this is an extreme falsie look!

Shellac is a blend of gel and nail polish. Because it is like a polish, it can’t be used to extend your nail. Because it is like a gel, however, it does add strength and durability. In the long term, Shellac is much less damaging to nails than traditional Gels (or Acrylics). The main benefit is that it reduces chipping and can last up to 2 weeks.

BIAB is ultimately still a gel product but with a thicker consistency. When it cures under the lamp, it creates a harder and more durable finish than regular gel polish. Generally BIAB comes in a smaller range of colours (mostly pale and pastel shades of pinks and purples), but you can apply any other gel polish over a clear BIAB base if you want to, meaning you can still go all out with nail art and bright neons if you fancy.
